I recently dyed my hair purple using Stargazer violet hair dye! Even though I have short hair, my hairs quite thick so I had to use two whole bottles! I'm quite happy with the results although I'm not completely sold on this dye, it didn't take to well on some bits of my hair but it kinda blends in so it's all cool!
The Japanese Magazine Zipper is full of cute fashion; it's really a joy to flick through (even if you can't read Japanese) but Japanese Fashion isn't always that Obtainable to those of us who live in the West!
Here's some looks based off looks from Aprils Zipper, I tried to find as similar items as possible whilst trying to keep the price down!
I'm a big lover of Vintage! Vintage clothing allows you to feel unique and it looks great but it can sometimes be hard to find... Etsy has some great vintage shops, with a wide variety of clothing that are reasonably priced!
It's that time of year when exams are looming щ(ಥДಥщ)
BUT DO NOT THREAT!
Help is at hand, to help you on your quest for exam glory (or in my case, a pass).
Tip Number 1: Don't Cram!
If at all humanly possibly; do not cram! I get it, it's Spring! The Sun has said hello once again; you're regaining your social life after months of winter blues BUT DO NOT LEAVE YOUR REVISION TO LAST MINUET! I'm not saying give up your social life (in my case the wasn't one to give up) but try to spend at least a few hours every other day revising. In the long run revising in advance means you have an in depth understanding of what your exams are about, cramming doesn't allow that!
Tip Number 2: Make a study Haven
My bedroom
Dedicate a corner of a bedroom, a living room or whatever to revision! Make sure this is a place where others wont bother you, where you can really get stuck into your work!
I bought chalk board spray paint and made a chalk board in my bedroom (aka study base)! On my chalk board I write all the stuff I find hard to remember and over time just seeing it, I can remember everything on it! You could always buy a chalkboard but it's not as fun; chalk board paint isn't expensive as it used to be either: Laura Ashley Chalk Board paint £3.50 Chalk Board Spray Paint Ebay £3.95
ヽ(๏∀๏ )ノBLUE TACK IS YOUR FRIEND! ヽ(๏∀๏ )ノ
Make study cards and stick them on your wall, in the process of making them you'll take all the info in and when ever you need something explained; all you have to do is look at your wall and abracadabra the world suddenly makes sense again!
Try to keep your study haven clean (this is extremely hypocritical coming from me). A clean space=A clean mind and all that jazz but seriously having a un-messy space does make all the difference to your mindset and practically it just makes studying easier! A messy desk vs a un-messy desk, the un-messy desk is always going to win!
Tip number 3: Keep Motivated!
When it comes to studying I can really suffer from a lack of motivation and confidence! I think the trick to keeping motivated is finding strategies: for instance making a chart with sweet/chocolates you like for every 3 study cards you make you get a sweet ect! You get the idea, adapt it to however you're studying!
Another way to keep motivated is to keep a positive mindset (never... I'm like a genius). If you're constancy panicking and putting yourself down that's going to demotivate you!
(ι´Д`)ノPutting yourself down=Demotivated=Not wanting to Revise
(︶ω︶)Positive Mindset=Motivated=Feeling good about Revising
Ultimately it's all about finding what works for you, it's trial and error!
It's very easy for Exam stress to get to you, the is so much pressure from your school, maybe from your family and society as a whole. We are constantly told that 'These exams are the most important exams of your life' and 'Your future depends on them'! But that's all a load of crap, you have your whole life ahead of you! It's mega cool if you pass these exams, but it doesn't mean that if you don't do well your life's over! There's do overs, there's different avenues you can take! Remember that, if you stress over how terrible your life's going to be if you don't pass these exams, you're going to be less productive!
Tip number 4: The little things make all the difference
Keep Hydrated
bad selca time
When I'm studying I like to drink tea's! Green Tea helps you focus, Lemon Balm helps lift your spirits and Chamomile tea can help you calm down (but it can also make you sleepy)!
Calming Soundtrack
I like to listen to music when I study, it lightens the mood! I like to listen to uncomplicated music, that's not too loud and that doesn't grasp all of my attention!
Here's what I like to listen to
Howls Moving Castle Soundtrack
ACNL 8pm Soundtrack
No Cars Go, Piano Cover (originally by Arcade Fire)
Colour Code
Use highlighters, colour code! It makes all the difference, it helps you remember and it's easier to pick information out! These little things matter ^-^
ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗYOU CAN DO THIS, EVERY LITTLE THINGS GOING TO BE ALRIGHT! ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ
I recently received this eyeliner as a present! I've never been a big fan of liquid eyeliners, I find them messy and hard to use but I dare say this one has changed my mind!
The packaging is ok... I guess I have high expectations for Benefit products packaging, they have set the bar too high... The packaging is small and practical but not the cutest!
This eyeliner brush is thin and super easy to draw with; you can make cat eyes in one swoosh!
I think it looks really nice on too, it's super black; which to me is a major plus!
Here's the eyeliner throughout the day!
The eyeliner on my wrist held up really well, it didn't smudge at all and whilst it wasn't as pigmented by the late afternoon it was still definitely noticeable!
All in all this eyeliner is awesome, it's defiantly going to be my go to eyeliner!
